வட கிழக்கு பருவமழை சென்னையை வெள்ளத்தில் மூழ்கடித்து பெரும் பாதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்திய போது இந்த லிட்டில் ப்ளோவர் பள்ளி மிகவும் பாதிப்பிற்குள்ளானது. பள்ளியில் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் மழை வெள்ளம் சூழ்ந்ததனால், அத்தியாவசியப் பொருட்களும் கிடைக்காமல் குழந்தைகள் சிரமங்களை அனுபவித்தனர். இன்னும் சீரமைப்பு நடைபெறுகிறது.

நண்பர்களுடன் வேறு சில இடங்களில் முன்னரே சில உதவிகள் செய்தாலும் இந்த பள்ளியை பற்றிய செய்தியை திரு. மணி அவர்கள் நிலைத்தகவல் மூலம் கண்டு ஏதாவது உதவிட நினைத்தேன். பள்ளியில் தடம் பதிந்தபோது மழை நின்ற பிறகும் ஈரப்பதம் அம்மண்ணில் இருப்பது மாற்று திறன் கொண்ட அக்குழந்தைகளின் மூலம் உணர முடிந்தது. நட்சத்திரங்கள் ஒளி இழக்குமா!!!

ஜீவிதா, காவ்யா, ஸ்ருதி, பவன், பரத், ஷிவாந்த் ஆகிய குழந்தைகள் அமெரிக்காவில் இதற்காக மூன்றில் இரு பங்கை கொடுத்து உதவினர். ஒரு ஹாலுக்கு 15 டேபில்களும் 48 சேர்களும் கொடுத்தேன்.

மேலும் நண்பருடன் அருகில் உள்ள சாய் சரண் என்ற மழை வெள்ளத்தால் பாதிப்படைந்த முதியோர் இல்லத்தில் எல்லா அம்மாக்களுடனும் சில மணிகள் இருந்து அவர்களுக்கு சேலைகள் வழங்கிவிட்டு வந்தோம்.
இவைக்கெல்லாம் பீட்டரும் ஒரு உந்துசக்திதான்.

During flood time we tried to support many groups and couple of them were pending on my list. Little Flower School lost substantial aid meant for people with physical disabilities like hearing aids, special desks and benches, Braille printers and computers which are crucial. Spoke to them and provided dining tables and chairs. Met them personally while one of the school sister showing weaving sections and the process of sheets, blankets, towels. Also met lovely kids where a little one with voice of nightingale participated in super singer. Jeevitha, Kaavya, Sruthi, Pavan, Bharath & Shivanth supported two third of the cost.

Another old age home called Sai Charan lost some of their stuffs. I went with my friend, spent a quality time with them on a day and provided sarees which brought them a beautiful smile. They called and thanked even after a wash, the sarees were light like a flower and mentioned they love it!!!
Peter was a motivator for these subsequent supports.
